C.A. Fortune is hiring a Grocery Merchandiser to manage a territory with store visits, surveys, photo reporting, and reporting tasks using mobile apps.

The role requires merchandising, lifting up to 50 pounds, and the ability to travel within the Columbus, OH area. You will be responsible for selling and merchandising, gaining and maintaining distribution across accounts, and ensuring products are well stocked.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Reliable transportation is required.
• Valid Driver License is required.
• Proof of Automobile insurance is required.
• Reliable phone service and internet access for daily communication.
• Ability to drive to stores in the assigned territory to complete retail tasks & audits.

Responsibilities

• Gain and maintain product distribution by building strong relationships with store teams.
• Retail tasks include ordering products, stocking shelves, and moving products from orders to shelves.
• Conduct audits in area grocery stores to verify in-store representations.
• Travel between store locations within the designated territory.
• Maintain a safe working environment while visiting stores.
• Present a professional appearance and adhere to dress code and attendance guidelines.
• Lift up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods as needed.

Overview of the Role

• The Grocery Merchandiser will properly manage their assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and tasks. They will have the ability to take pictures and complete reporting requirements with the technology provided. This position will require merchandising, and the ability to repeatedly bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Location: Columbus, OH (within a 40-60 mile radius)
• This position is full time, 32 - 40 / hours a week
• Compensation: $18 hourly, based on experience, qualifications, and skills
• You will be responsible for selling, merchandising, gaining/maintaining distribution within a variety of accounts.
• Ensure our clients’ products are well stocked and order if product is not in stock or low.
• This position requires consistent use of mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.
• This position requires you to switch between tasks such as stocking, reporting, and communicating with store teams throughout the day
• You must be able to lift, bend/stoop for extended periods of time.
• This is a position where you work independently, follow directions, and have excellent communication skills.

What You’ll Do at C.A. Fortune

• Gain and maintain product distribution by establishing strong relationships with store teams.
• Retail work will entail (but not limited to) ordering products, working product to shelves from new orders, etc.
• Conduct audits in area grocery stores
• Travel to and between store locations within the designated territory.
• Verify that our clients’ products are accurately represented on store shelves
• Maintain a safe working environment while working in the stores
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to dress code and attendance guidelines.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, squat, and lift regularly throughout the day.
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, retail environment with minimal supervision.
• Comply with any additional guidelines established by the Store Team
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.
