C.A. Fortune is hiring a Grocery Merchandiser for the Chicago Heights, IL area. You will manage store visits, take photos, and complete reporting using mobile apps, with territory covering South Suburbs and Northwest Indiana.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds and 32–36 hours per week, with compensation of $18–$20 per hour based on experience. You will sell, merchandise, and gain distribution with various accounts, ensuring products are well stocked and ordered if needed.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Reliable transportation.
• Valid Driver License.
• Proof of Automobile insurance.
• Reliable phone and internet service for daily communication.
• Ability to drive to stores in assigned territory to complete retail tasks & audits at local grocery retailer.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions independently.
• Previous retail, sales, or merchandising experience is a plus (but not required).

• Comply with any additional guidelines established by the Store Team
• Attend client kickoff video calls and team check-ins as required.

Overview of the Role

The Grocery Merchandiser will properly manage their assigned territory by completing store visits, surveys, and tasks. They will have the ability to take pictures and complete reporting requirements with the technology provided. This position will require merchandising, and the ability to repeatedly bend and lift up to 50 pounds. Territory includes South Suburbs and Northwest Indiana.

Location: Chicago Heights, IL (within a 40-60 mile radius)

This position is full time, 32 - 36 / hours a week

Compensation: $18 - $20 hourly, based on experience, qualifications, and skills

You will be responsible for selling, merchandising, gaining/maintaining distribution within a variety of accounts.

Ensure our clients' products are well stocked and order if product is not in stock or low.

This position requires consistent use of mobile apps for reporting, photo uploads, task completion, and communication.

This position requires you to switch between tasks such as stocking, reporting, and communicating with store teams throughout the day

You must be able to lift, bend/stoop for extended periods of time.

This is a position where you work independently, follow directions, and have excellent communication skills.
