Job summary

Auburn University’s School of Industrial and Graphic Design (SIGD) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track Lecturer starting August 2027 for a three-year term with potential extension. The role focuses on teaching freshman-level Drawing, 2-D, and 3-D fundamentals in a professional degree program.

The successful candidate will teach first-year courses and engage in service supporting students; qualifications include an MFA in Graphic Design or related field and prior teaching

Qualifications

• MFA required at time of employment.
• Previous teaching in a post-secondary setting preferred.
• Recent MFA graduates encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities

• Teach three studio courses (12 credit hours) per semester.
• Contribute to service activities supporting students.
