Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting for general dentistry, including restorative, crowns, bridges, extractions, endodontics, and preventive care.
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories per OSHA/CDC guidelines.
• Take and process dental radiographs.
• Ensure patient comfort during procedures.
• Assist with impressions, temporaries, and digital scanning.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Provide post-operative instructions to patients.
• Manage inventory and organize clinical areas.
• Support smooth patient flow and scheduling.

This role supports the dentist in providing comprehensive dental treatment while ensuring patient comfort and clinical efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

• Chairside assisting for general dentistry procedures including restorative, crown & bridge, extractions, endodontics, and preventive services
• Prepare and sterilize instruments and operatories according to OSHA and CDC guidelines
• Take and process dental radiographs
• Ensure patient comfort before, during, and after procedures
• Assist with impressions, temporaries, and digital scanning
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Provide post-operative instructions to patients
• Manage inventory and maintain organized clinical areas
• Support smooth patient flow and efficient scheduling

Requirements

Qualifications

• Current DANB (Dental Assisting National Board) Certification – Required
• Current Pennsylvania radiology certification – Required
• Current CPR/BLS certification – Required
• Knowledge of OSHA, HIPAA, and infection control standards
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
