Job summary

Lowe's Portland location is seeking team members to pick, stage, and fulfill customer orders with a focus on accuracy, safety, and efficiency. You will assist customers, validate orders, and connect them with the right colleagues when needed.

The role requires basic computer use, familiarity with retail technology, and certification in powered equipment. Strong communication and teamwork are essential for daily operations and inventory accuracy.

Qualifications

• 6 months of experience using a computer or inputting/modifying information.
• 6 months of experience using common retail tech (smartphones/tablets).
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• 6 months of retail experience preferred.
• 6 months of experience in customer service or product fulfillment at a home improvement retailer is a plus.
• 6 months of experience inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading products or materials.

Responsibilities

• Pick, stage, inspect, and fulfill customer orders accurately and on time, keeping staging areas clean, organized, and safe.
• Deliver excellent service by choosing high quality items, validating orders, answering questions, and connecting customers with the right associates when needed.
• Operate and maintain certification for powered equipment and follow all safety requirements.
• Support inventory accuracy by using the Orders App, maintaining SIMS compliance, and partnering with leadership to resolve short picks.
• Complete administrative, maintenance, and readiness tasks such as audits, order follow-ups, and locker management, while reporting safety or theft concerns promptly.
• Achieve daily job responsibilities with a customer-first mindset with strong communication and teamwork skills.
• May be assigned other duties to support the needs of the business.

Preferred Qualifications

• 6 Months of Retail experience


• 6 Months of Experience in a customer service or product fulfillment position at a home improvement or hardware retailer in related department (e.g., kitchen, plumbing, electrical, lawn and garden)


• 6 Months of Experience in any industry inspecting, carrying, loading, and unloading product or material in or out of vehicles

Pay Range

Pay Range: $16.50 - $17.85 per hour Starting rate of pay may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, position offered, location, education, training, and/or experience.
