Job summary

The TJX Companies, Inc. is seeking a front-end leader at TJ Maxx in Fairview Heights, IL. You will guide Associates to deliver exceptional customer service, promote loyalty programs, and maintain store standards while supporting training and development across the front end.

Key responsibilities include staffing, POS coverage, coaching, and ensuring safety and compliance with labor laws. A relevant one-year retail background with leadership exposure is preferred, along with strong communication

Qualifications

• Strong merchandising knowledge and ability to apply it in-store.
• Excellent multitasking and organizational capabilities in a fast-paced retail environment.
• Clear, effective communication with customers and team members.
• Team player who collaborates with peers and supervisors to meet goals.
• Ability to train and mentor Associates on front-end principles.
• Retail leadership experience includes at least 6 months in a supervisory role.

• Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs
• Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates
• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned

• Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
• Capable of multi-tasking

• 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience
