Job summary

NORTH COAST LOGISTICS, INC. is seeking a Warehouse Associate to operate forklifts, process inbound/outbound orders, and pick/pack in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will perform safety checks, paperwork, and order fulfillment with accuracy and efficiency.

The role requires the ability to lift 50 pounds, read pick tickets, and work in hot and cold conditions. Relevant forklift experience and OHSA/MSDS compliance are preferred, with potential for forklift certification to be advantageous.

Qualifications

• Authorized to work in the United States.
• Able to lift 50 pounds and handle manual lifting tasks.
• Must meet the job and skill requirements of a Warehouse Associate.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Must pass background check.
• Must complete forklift operations training.
• Compliance with OSHA and MSDS standards.
• Able to work in hot/cold environments.
• 1-2 years forklift experience preferred.
• 1-2 years warehouse experience preferred.
• Forklift certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Pick orders by reading pick tickets, complete necessary paperwork, move products to the cutting/receiving/shipping area.
• Complete the pre-shift inspection for forklift, including battery maintenance as necessary.
• Operate forklift and reach truck equipment to maneuver products within the warehouse in a safe manner.
• Move products by loading/unloading shipments to carriers' vehicles and store them in appropriate storage areas.
• Safely operate and maintain material moving equipment such as reach trucks, motorized pallet jacks and forklifts to process orders.
• Perform labeling, sorting, wrapping, packing, and repacking as needed; repair pallets when necessary; maintain the facility to provide a clean, safe work environment.
• Ensure inbound and outbound shipments are accurate and free of damage and document damages.
• Efficiently move product from staging and/or unloading areas into the correct load door and trailer
• Ensure that the trailer is secured and chocked prior to entering the trailer in accordance with the safety polices.
• Unload and process inbound paperwork as required by company procedures.
• Maintain a clean, neat, and orderly work area.
• Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse.
• Conduct operations in a manner which promotes safety.
• Other duties as assigned.
