Job summary

Volunteers of America, Utah is seeking a Full-Time Kitchen Support staff member to assist in food preparation and service at Creekside Stabilization Center. The role focuses on maintaining clean work areas, following food safety procedures, and supporting meal preparation and service for clients.

Qualifications include a high school diploma or GED and a Food Handler’s permit; experience in food service and CPR/First Aid certifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Must have food safety knowledge and follow sanitation procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with diverse groups.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries with clients and staff.
• Need to be 21+ with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Wash dishes, pots and pans; stack dishes, cups and silverware.
• Remove trash; sweep and mop floors; deep clean as scheduled.
• Set up and maintain food items and check temperatures.
• Transport meals to Creekside, including offsite prep items.
• Assist with meal prep, plating, and serving in a friendly manner.
• Assist with unloading and organizing food donations, orders, and deliveries.
• Attend work regularly and maintain punctuality; perform other duties as assigned.
