Job summary

Community Hospital South in Oklahoma City is seeking a Full-Time Housekeeper to join our Environmental Services team. The role involves cleaning patient and non-patient areas to maintain a sanitary, aseptic environment in line with hospital standards.

The position emphasizes punctuality, attention to safety, and respectful interaction with patients and visitors. A high school diploma or GED is preferred, with background checks and health screenings required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Must successfully pass criminal background check.
• Must complete and/or take all required health screenings and vaccines.
• Experience with floor stripping and refinishing a plus.

Responsibilities

• The Housekeeper cleans assigned areas of the facility to maintain an aseptic environment and prevent healthcare-associated infection using standard cleaning procedures.
• Performs routine cleaning of patient rooms, nursing units, offices, clinical areas, waiting areas, lobbies, rest rooms, and corridors.
• Completes work assignments in a timely manner and demonstrates reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Uses and maintains cleaning chemicals and equipment according to procedure and safety standards.
• Always introduces self to patients, families, and visitors and supports a safe environment.
