Job summary

The YMCA of Greater Hartford is seeking a Female Custodian in Granby, CT. This full-time maintenance role involves cleaning and sanitizing assigned areas, including bathrooms, offices, and common spaces, with duties extending to window washing, pool cleaning, and snow removal as needed.

Under supervision of the Building & Property Manager, the custodian will perform routine cleaning, basic repairs, and event setup, while maintaining safe, organized facilities and contributing to a courteous,

Qualifications

• Valid CT Driver’s License is required.
• Ability to work with chemicals and solvents used in housekeeping, maintenance, and grounds keeping.

Responsibilities

• Cleans bathrooms, offices, locker rooms, hallways by vacuuming, mopping and polishing.
• Assists with setup for meetings and events.
• Performs light maintenance repairs as directed.
• Clears snow and salting sidewalks in bad weather.
• Moves and dusts furniture and fixtures, ensures areas are neat and safe.
• Operates cleaning equipment and reports needed repairs to supervisor.
• Attends mandatory trainings and participates in special projects.
