MITTYE P LOCKE ACHIEVEMENT ACADEMY, part of Pasco County Schools in New Port Richey, FL, seeks an Exceptional Student Education (ESE) teacher for Emotionally/Behaviorally Disabled (EBD) students. The position is 196 days, full-time, with benefits and starting immediately.

Responsibilities include designing and implementing an instructional program, developing IEPs, coordinating with support staff, and ensuring compliance with federal, state and district regulations to foster a safe learning

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in ESE or related field.
• Approval by or participation in state-approved certification pathway program.
• Valid Florida Educator’s Certificate or district adjunct certification, OR valid statement of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Develop, plan, organize, and implement an instructional program for ESE students through curriculum and lesson plans.
• Create and maintain individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Collaborate with support staff to support learning and behavior goals.
• Ensure safety and compliance with federal, state, and local requirements.
