PDW Performance Driven Workforce is now hiring Full‑Time Entry‑Level Prototype Mechanics for an Automotive Tier 1 Supplier. Entry‑Level Prototype Mechanics will be modifying cars and trucks in a prototype environment, performing a wide range of diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance. This Full‑Time Entry‑Level Prototype Mechanics position offers an AM Day shift plus Overtime when needed and is based out of Livonia, MI. Candidates meeting the requirements for this Entry‑Level Prototype Mechanics position below are strongly encouraged to apply. Day shift and Overtime are available.

Shift Schedule

• AM Day shift: 6:45 am to 3:30 pm (Monday–Friday + OT as needed)

Responsibilities

• Maintain vehicle functional condition by working off repair orders or leader instructions and conducting inspections
• Repair mechanical and electrical system malfunctions and replace parts and components
• Read, interpret, and follow service procedures
• Maintain vehicle records by entering notes, service, and repair orders
• Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventative maintenance, calling for repairs
• Participate in daily shop organization and clean‑up

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum 1-yearautomotive technician / mechanic experience or equivalent military experience
• Mechanical ability and ability to operate shop equipment
• Must have own tools with rolling toolbox
• Must have well rounded technician / mechanical experience and knowledge
• Must have good organizational skills
• Must have good attention to detail
• Must possess the skills to read, comprehend, and execute written procedures
• Must be an automotive technician / mechanic with a high level of urgency, motivation, and enthusiasm to learn
• Must have reliable attendance and the willingness to work overtime/weekends

• State/ASE certifications
