What You Will Accomplish

• Perform general repairs in and around the hotel requiring expertise or proficiency in painting, carpentry or maintenance.
• Perform general level maintenance and repairs based on your certification, proficiency, experience, skill level, and training.
• Work in any areas requiring assistance as assigned and based on business need.
• Carry out repairs including carpentry, mechanics, plumbing, minor electrical, refrigeration, finish work, HVAC, etc.
• Escalate unresolved issues to other engineers or management as needed to complete repairs and maintain high guest satisfaction.
• Resolve guest complaints within scope of authority, otherwise refer the matter to management.
• Notify supervisor and/or security of all unusual events, circumstances, missing items, or alleged theft.
• Respond to guest and internal requests for service/repair as assigned.
• Use a computer to receive work orders and record work performed.
• Maintain timely and accurate records.
• Perform preventive maintenance on tools and keep all tools and equipment in good working order.
• Inspect, maintain, repair and replace parts found throughout the property, such as machinery, drains, light bulbs and filters.
• Wear non‑slip, oil‑resistant shoes and comply with all safety policies and procedures.
• Report potential safety issues to management and take immediate action during emergencies.
• Follow OSHA laws requiring personal protective equipment (PPE) when performing high‑risk duties.

What You Will Bring

• General maintenance and repair experience throughout the hotel, requiring certification or proficiency in painting, maintenance, and/or carpentry.
• Two years related experience, preferably in a similar work environment.
• Vocational schooling, military training, certification and/or proficiency in maintenance, painting or carpentry (great if).
• Ability to use discretion with confidential or sensitive information.
