Job summary

84 Lumber is seeking a diligent Drywall Stocker to stock merchandise on shelves and in the stockroom, ensuring displays are clean, faced, tagged and properly signed. You will move items from the stockroom to floor locations and assist customers with basic questions while on the floor.

You will help set up displays, organize overstock, and support light store-operations tasks. The role requires following simple instructions and working with minimal supervision in a fast-paced retail environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence and memos; write simple correspondence; effectively present information to others one-on-one.
• Ability to apply common sense understanding and carry out simple one or two-step instructions; deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.

Overview

The Drywall Stocker moves merchandise from the stockroom to appropriate floor location and insures shelves and pegs are fully stocked, well organized, clean, faced, tagged and signed. This role involves receiving drywall at the stores, assisting with delivery to jobstites, answer basic customer questions while on the floor, may assist in transporting purchases to customer vehicles, and other duties as assigned.
