Job summary

AAA Driving School in California is seeking a Full-Time Driving Instructor to train new drivers and help keep roads safe. You’ll deliver behind-the-wheel instruction, follow AAA’s curriculum, and mentor students of varying ages.

This role offers $24.50–$26.00 per hour, a 40-hour week with weekday afternoons and at least one weekend day, a company vehicle, paid licensing and training, and clear growth opportunities within a trusted organization.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record.
• Minimum 5 years of driving experience.
• Must obtain state-issued Driving School Instructor license, which includes passing a DMV-required exam.
• Must successfully complete a background check and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Deliver behind-wheel instruction to students of varying ages and experience levels, following AAA’s curriculum and training standards.
• Use driving school software to track and manage student progress.
• Assess student performance and provide personalized guidance.
• Stay current on safe and defensive driving practices and maintain all required state documentation.
• Travel within a 50-mile radius as needed; a company vehicle with paid gas, maintenance, and insurance is provided.
