Job summary

Dohrn Transfer in Centerville, MN seeks a Full-Time Dock Supervisor for the 2nd shift. Lead hourly operations, oversee dock, route City pickup/delivery, ensure on-time service, and uphold safety and efficiency. Requires supervisory experience, strong leadership, excellent communication, and ability to lift heavy loads.

Must have HS diploma, valid driver license, forklift safety certification, and willingness to work any shift. Competitive salary from $65,000/year plus comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Monitor Line Haul operation.
• Monitor dock performance and adjust manpower as needed.
• Communicate with other departments to ensure a successful operation.
• Work safely and report facility problems.
• Comply with regulations and process daily paperwork.
• Perform other duties as needed.

We are seeking a Full Time Dock Supervisor at our Centerville, MN terminal!

Wage $65k, yearly

Hours Monday-Friday, 2nd Shift, 5p Start

• Provide training, supervision, feedback, and discipline for hourly Operations team members
• Route City operation
• Manage the daily performance of the City Pickup and Delivery Operation for optimal safety, performance, on-time Service, cost control, and claims prevention
• Ensure On-time Delivery service in accordance with the organizational goals by ensuring pick-ups and deliveries are made timely, efficiently, and returns are kept to a minimum
• Monitor Line Haul operation
• Monitor Dock performance and efficiency and adjust manpower as needed
• Solve problems regarding lost and missing freight
• Communicate efficiently with other departments to ensure a successful operation
• Work in a safe and professional manner so as to reduce personal risks and risk to fellow employees
• Report all facility problems to the Facility Maintenance Department
• Comply with federal, state, and company regulations
• Process all paperwork daily associated with the execution of the job
• Work in a positive, supportive, and cooperative way at all times
• Perform other duties as needed

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Visual Acuity including regular use of items including a computer screen or monitor
• Lifting various types of materials will be required cartons, bags, cylinders, boxes, crates, drums, pipe, bars, rugs, etc
• Common material handling tools will be used forklifts, carts, dollies, banding machines, shrink wrap tubes, pallet jacks, and tow motors
• Standing, walking, squatting, pushing, pulling, twisting, carrying, bending at the waist, reaching, and lifting both above and below waist level will be required
• Must be physically capable of operating a forklift, pallet jack, load lock and two-wheel handcart
• Will be required to lift up, set down, slide or move weight unassisted that could exceed 80 pounds
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. on a frequent basis and 100+ lbs. on an infrequent basis
• Must be able to sit and stand for prolonged periods of time
• Must have the ability to safely enter and exit trailers, vans, flatbeds, forklifts and tractors
• Must have the ability to work around and operate motorized equipment
• Must be able to perform the essential functions of the job as specified in the job description
• May be exposed to extreme hot or cold temperatures and dusty conditions in the dock environment; must be able to perform essential functions in these conditions
