Job summary

Progressive Directions, Inc. (PDI) is seeking a compassionate and dependable Full-Time Direct Support Professional for our Columbia, TN location. You will provide person-centered support to help individuals build meaningful lives through choice, community participation, and independence.

The role involves assisting with daily living activities, transportation as needed, and documenting care accurately. Starting pay is $16.00 per hour, with a consistent full-time schedule and access to benefits

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, communicate, and complete documentation in English.
• Dependable attendance and the ability to work the assigned schedule.
• A patient, respectful, and supportive approach.

Responsibilities

• Provide person-centered support based on each person’s needs and goals.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care when needed.
• Support community involvement, recreation, appointments, shopping, and activities.
• Encourage independence and informed choices.
• Assist with meal preparation, household routines, and safety.
• Provide transportation as assigned.
• Complete required documentation accurately and on time.
• Follow PDI policies, training, and health and safety procedures.
• Protect rights, privacy, dignity, and confidentiality of the people supported.
• Overnight awake shifts.
