Job summary

Gramercy Court, a Generations Healthcare facility, is seeking a dietary Cook to join our team. Our skilled nursing and rehabilitation facility has an outstanding reputation for quality patient care and a supportive work environment.

The primary role is to assist in all food functions per established policies, recipes, and diet orders. The position offers full-time hours with a schedule including Monday and Tuesday 5:00 AM to 1:30 PM and Friday to Sunday 10:00 AM to 6:30 PM.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older and have a high school diploma or GED.
• Able to cook a variety of foods in large quantities.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Independent decision-making when required.
• Able to follow oral and written instructions.
• Maintain sanitation and safety in food service areas.
• Willing to work harmoniously with staff and leadership.

Responsibilities

• Inspect special diet trays and ensure correct diets are served.
• Complete forms and reports and submit to the Director of Food Services.
• Coordinate food service with other departments as needed.
• Work with the facility dietitian and implement changes.
• Ensure adherence to food procedures and policies.
• Prepare meals per planned menus and serve appetizing dishes.
• Serve food with proper portion control and dietary orders.
