Job description

This is a full time position. Primary responsibility is to Take Excellent Care Of Our Customers by satisfying each customer's needs, exceeding their expectations, and making every shopping visit a pleasant and satisfying experience. This requires accurately and efficiently operating the cash register, providing various services at the customer service counter, and maintaining security and control of all funds in the cash register.

Perform duties of floor monitor when one is not assigned to be on‑duty. May be assigned to be the on‑duty floor monitor. Perform the duties of cashier and bagger when appropriate.

Personal Skills

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Willingness to participate in and successfully complete required training and to work with the team to increase customer satisfaction and sales.

Language Skills

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos [in English]. Ability to write simple correspondence [in English]. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations to customers, vendors, and other associates of the organization who only speak English.

Mathematical Skills

Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to calculate a discount % amount. Ability to perform these operations using units of American currency.

Reasoning Ability

Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed but uninvolved written or oral instructions. Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations.

Certificates, Licenses, Training

Complete Company’s training including but not limited to: new hire orientation, customer service network, safety, customer service clerk technical skills, floor monitor technical skills.
