Job summary

Marshalls store in Burlington, IA, part of The TJX Companies, Inc., seeks a front-of-store leader to promote excellent customer experience. You will oversee a team of associates, coordinate POS coverage, and model outstanding service while fostering loyalty programs and a clean, organized store.

The role requires strong communication, merchandising knowledge, multitasking ability, and a willingness to work nights and weekends; prior retail leadership experience is preferred.

• 1 year retail and 6 months of leadership experience

Responsibilities

• Create a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promote honesty and integrity; maintain confidentiality
• Train and mentor Associates on front end principles
• Coach Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs
• Assign registers and coordinate breaks for Associates
• Address customer concerns promptly to ensure a positive experience
• Ensure tasks align with store plan and priorities
• Communicate priorities clearly with management and staff
• Provide feedback and recognition to team
• Collaborate with Management on Associate training needs
• Ensure adherence to labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promote credit and loyalty programs
• Support shrink reduction goals and safety initiatives
• Promote safety and maintain a safe store environment
• Perform other duties as assigned

Responsible for promoting an excellent customer experience. Oversees a team of Associates at front of store ensuring prompt, courteous customer service and promotion of loyalty programs. Leads by example by engaging and interacting with all customers, and maintaining a clean and organized store. Role models outstanding customer service.

• Creates a positive internal and external customer experience
• Promotes a culture of honesty and integrity; maintains confidentiality
• Takes an active role in training and mentoring Associates on front end principles
• Trains and coaches Associates on personalizing the customer experience while promoting loyalty programs
• Assigns registers, supports and responds to POS coverage needs, and coordinates breaks for all Associates
• Addresses customer concerns and issues promptly, ensuring a positive customer experience
• Ensures Associates execute tasks and activities according to store plan; prioritizes as needed
• Communicates accurately and effectively with management and Associates when setting and addressing priorities; provides progress updates
• Provides and accepts recognition and constructive feedback
• Partners with Management on Associate training needs to increase effectiveness
• Ensures adherence to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
• Promotes credit and loyalty programs
• Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
• Promotes safety awareness and maintains a safe environment
• Other duties as assigned

This position has a starting pay range of $14.25 to $14.75 per hour. Actual starting pay is determined by a number of factors, including relevant skills, qualifications, and experience.
