Bobby Jones Links is hiring a Tennis Court Maintenance Technician for Hope Valley Country Club in Durham, NC. The role focuses on upkeep, cleaning, minor repairs, and safety of tennis facilities from Monday to Friday, 6:30 am–2:30 pm.

The technician will perform surface cleaning, repairs, equipment maintenance, and event setup to ensure courts are ready for use and tournaments. Physical duties and weather exposure are required.

The Tennis Court Maintenance Technician is responsible for the upkeep and maintenance of the tennis courts, ensuring they are safe, clean, and in optimal condition for use. This role involves routine inspections, cleaning, minor repairs, and general maintenance tasks to preserve the quality and appearance of the tennis courts.Primary responsibilities:Court MaintenancePerform regular inspections of the tennis courts to identify and address any issuesClean and maintain the playing surface, including sweeping, pressure washing, and removing debrisRepair cracks, holes, and other damage to the court surface as neededEnsure proper installation and maintenance of nets, posts, and court lines.Mon-Fri 6:30 am-2:30 pmEquipment and SuppliesMaintain an inventory of maintenance supplies and equipmentOrder and replenish supplies as necessaryEnsure all equipment is in good working condition and report any malfunctions or needed repairs.General UpkeepKeep surrounding areas, such as seating and walkways, clean and well-maintained.Empty trash receptacles and ensure proper disposal of waste.Perform landscaping tasks around the courts, including trimming bushes and maintaining lawns.SafetyEnsure the courts and surrounding areas are safe for players and visitors.Address any potential hazards immediately and report safety concerns to the Facilities Manager.Follow all safety protocols and guidelines while performing maintenance tasks.Event PreparationAssist in setting up and breaking down equipment for tennis events and tournaments.Ensure courts are in top condition for scheduled events and matches.Required SkillsAbility to operate tools and machinery.Attention to detail.Problem-solving skills.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT REQUIREMENTSProlonged periods walking, standing, bending, stretching, pushing, pulling, climbing ladders, or kneeling.Must be physically able to operate power equipment.Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time.Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions.
