Job summary

LifeCare Medical Center in northern Minnesota seeks a Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA). This full-time role works with an interdisciplinary rehab team, supporting an OT in implementing prescribed treatment plans using purposeful activity in rehabilitation.

The successful candidate will have an associate degree in OT, be eligible for NBCOT certification, and be registered with the Minnesota Department of Health.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in occupational therapy from an accredited program.
• Eligible for NBCOT certification.
• Minnesota Department of Health registration required.

Responsibilities

• Assist the therapist in client evaluation and assess capabilities.
• Maintain accurate patient notes including initial, progress, and discharge.
• Deliver direct patient treatment under supervision of the OTR.
• Assist in equipment maintenance and inventory.
• Develop and implement new programs and treatments.
• Support department operations including charges, records, and scheduling.
• Provide care across neonates to geriatrics.
