Job summary

Napa Valley Care Center in Napa, CA is seeking a motivated Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team. You will work with Occupational Therapists to help patients regain independence and improve daily living skills in a skilled nursing and rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
• Current California COTA license in good standing.
• Current CPR certification or ability to obtain on hire.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

Responsibilities

• Implement treatment plans developed by the Occupational Therapist.
• Provide therapeutic interventions to improve daily living and functional skills.
• Assist patients with mobility, self-care, strengthening, coordination, and adaptive techniques.
• Monitor patient responses to treatment and report progress to the Occupational Therapist.
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation per regulatory and facility requirements.
• Educate patients and families on therapy techniques, equipment, and safety practices.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to optimize patient outcomes.
• Participate in care planning meetings and discharge planning as needed.
• Ensure a safe and supportive treatment environment.
