Job summary

Saint Paul College seeks two energetic, full-time Cosmetology Instructors to deliver and evaluate cosmetology courses for the nine-month academic program. Responsibilities include instructional planning, curriculum development, teaching, student advising, and maintaining records to support student success.

Ideal candidates hold a cosmetology diploma, Minnesota instructor license, and recent related industry experience. Promotion of diversity and inclusive teaching is emphasized.

Qualifications

• Diploma in cosmetology.
• Four full-time years (or equivalent) of verified related paid work experience as a cosmetologist.
• One year of this work experience shall be within the five years immediately preceding the date of application for the credential field. The recency requirement shall be waived if the individual has two years of successful full-time postsecondary teaching experience in the credential field within the last five years.
• Cosmetology instructor license from the Minnesota Board of Cosmetology Examiners.

Responsibilities

• Teaching and learning coordination, including instructional planning & curriculum development.
• Teaching, learning, and assessment; maintaining student records and advising.
• Recruitment, retention, and placement support; maintain professional credentials.
