Job summary

Flik Hospitality Group at Allergan – 5 Giralda Farms in Madison, NJ, is hiring immediately for a full-time COOK. This role requires online applications only.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 2:30 pm. Pay range: $20.00–$24.00 per hour. Benefits include free meals, health and wellness programs, retirement plan, and more. Previous cooking experience is required with high-volume production preferred.

• Previous cooking experience required; high volume production preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery, and service schedules.
• Serve meals or prepare for delivery using correct portioning, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty; taste all prepared food items.
• Use established ticket collection procedures during service; record activity from the area worked during service periods.
• Clean kitchen after preparation and serving, maintaining high standards of cleanliness; store or discard excess food per safe food-handling procedures.
• Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensure food and supply items are stored per standards.
• Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed.
• Assist in production planning, record keeping, and reporting as required.
• Assist in ordering and receiving all food and supplies as required.
• Report maintenance issues, faulty equipment, or accidents to the supervisor immediately.
• Attend in-service and safety meetings.
• Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators, and managers.
• Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Ensure proper presentation, portion control, and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards.
