Job summary

YAI currently has an immediate opening for a Full Time Residential Cook/Housekeeper to work in our Johnson Ave Residence in Ronkonkoma. The role includes cooking and housekeeping duties in a group home for people with intellectual/developmental disabilities, with a schedule Monday to Friday 8:00am–4:00pm and some flexibility.

You will perform meal planning, food shopping, and meal preparation for individuals with dietary needs while adhering to agency policies.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in intellectual/developmental disabilities field a plus.
• TB test mandatory for most positions.

Education and Experience

• High School Diploma or GED preferred
• Work or life experience within the intellectual/developmental disabilities field is a plus
• Basic written and verbal communication
• Basic computer knowledge
• Valid Driver’s License may be required depending upon the position
• Tuberculosis test mandatory for most positions

Compensation:

$17.50/hour
