Job summary

Morrison Healthcare, a Compass Group company, is hiring for full-time COOK positions at the Florida Coast Medical facility in Port Saint Lucie, FL. Shift options include 6:00 am to 2:30 pm and 10:15 am to 6:45 pm; prior cooking experience is required to ensure quality meal service for patients and staff.

As a Cook, you will prepare meals according to recipes and standards, maintain safety and HACCP guidelines, and support daily kitchen operations.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting standards and ensuring food is at the correct temperature, attractive and tasty.
• Maintains records from area worked during service and follows ticket collection procedures.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Keeps refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; ensures items are stored per standards.
• Operates and maintains kitchen equipment as instructed; assists in production planning and ordering as required.
• Reports maintenance needs or accidents to the supervisor; attends in-service and safety meetings.
