Job summary

Riley's Grove Assisted Living & Memory Care, located in Michigan, is seeking a full-time Dining Services role (6am-2pm) to prepare and serve planned menus while upholding quality standards for residents.

You will ensure safe, balanced meals, accommodate dietary needs, and provide high hospitality in a collaborative team environment. Prior kitchen experience and a HS diploma are preferred.

POSITION SUMMARY: Full-Time, 6am-2pm

Responsible for preparing and serving planned menu as well as maintaining quality standards in the dining services department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
  • Prepare tasteful, nutritionally balanced meals based on pre-planned menus
  • Prepare meals with consideration of resident preferences and food safety standards
  • Responsible for ensuring pleasing plate presentation for all meals
  • Ensuring resident special diets are offered and prepared, recognizing a resident’s right to choose
  • Complete dining room service, including set up, service and clean up with high hospitality standards
  • Assist with inventory and maintain supplies in all common area kitchenettes
  • Follow the sanitation schedule for kitchen, equipment, and dining room to maintain standard of sanitation and cleanliness
  • Participate in preparation for special events
  • Promote positive relationships with residents, staff and visitors

SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Education and Experience

High school diploma/GED is required. Six months of experience with cooking and baking from scratch in a commercial setting is preferred.
