Job summary

Hospice of the West is seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) in Phoenix to provide hands-on care focused on comfort and dignity at the end of life. You will work with our nursing team to meet patients’ physical, emotional, and personal needs with empathy and professionalism.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, 7 am - 3:30 pm. Coverage area: Phoenix. Requires CNA certification, CPR, and a minimum of 1 year in acute or long-term care; hospice experience is a plus. Competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Current unencumbered CNA license in state.
  • Minimum 1 year CNA experience in an acute care or long-term care setting; hospice experience a plus.
  • CPR certification if state-mandated.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Personalized Care: Follow the plan of care to ensure comfort and well-being of patients and respond promptly to requests of patients and family/caregiver.
  • Assist with Personal Care: Support patients with bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing to maintain comfort and dignity.
  • Be Dedicated to Customer Service: Deliver exceptional service to ensure patient satisfaction and teamwork.
  • Provide Support for Families: Guide and support families in caring for terminally ill loved ones.
  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Record details accurately in home care, agency, and regulatory records.

Hospice of the Westis seeking a Full Time Hospice Aide (CNA) to join our compassionate team, providing hands‑on care that brings comfort and dignity to patients at the end of life. Working closely with our nursing team, you’ll ensure each patient’s physical, emotional, and personal needs are met with respect, empathy, and professionalism.

Responsibilities
  • Provide Personalized Care: Follow the carefully crafted plan of care to ensure the comfort and well‑being of our patients. Attend promptly to the requests of patients and their family/caregiver, offering compassionate and unwavering support.
  • Assist with Personal Care: Support patients with various personal care needs, including bathing, oral hygiene, changing bedding, clothing, and shampooing. Your presence during these intimate moments contributes significantly to their overall comfort and dignity.

  • Maintain Accurate Documentation: Every detail is crucial in delivering high‑quality care, both in the patient’s home and within our agency and regulatory standards. Your attention to detail is vital to our success.
Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Holds current unencumbered certificate in the state working as a C.N.A.
  • Minimum one (1) year experience as a C.N.A. in an acute care or long term care setting. Hospice exp a plus!
  • Possess and maintains current CPR certification if state‑mandated
  • Current driver’s license, vehicle insurance, and access to dependable transportation.

$21.50 - $24.00 per hour (Average Pay Range). The pay range listed represents a general posting guideline for the role and is not a fixed offer. Final compensation will be determined based on the candidate’s relevant experience, qualifications, and the specific responsibilities of the position. The exact compensation rate will be discussed and confirmed at the conclusion of the interview process.
