Visiting Angels is seeking a Full Time Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) to support senior clients across Spearfish and surrounding Northern Hills communities. The role focuses on compassionate in-home care, light housekeeping, meal planning, and mobility assistance to help clients live safely at home.

The CNA will collaborate with families and caregivers, administer medications on time, and promote independence while ensuring comfort and dignity for every client.

Qualifications

• General caregiving communication and reliability required.

• Strong bedside manner and empathy for seniors.

Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping tasks.
• Encourage and assist clients with exercise and mobility.
• Prompt clients to take prescribed medications on schedule.

• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients.
• Support mobility and accompany clients to appointments or walks.

A Visiting Angels Full Time Certified Nursing Aide - CNA wears many hats as they help our elderly and home-care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity.

While no two client visits look exactly alike, responsibilities may include:

• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks

A Full Time Certified Nursing Aide - CNA must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies. This includes adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.
