Visiting Angels of Rapid City is hiring a Full Time Certified Nursing Aide (CNA) to support seniors across the Southern Hills area, including Hill City, Keystone, Custer, and nearby communities. The caregiver will provide in-home care, assist with daily activities, and help clients stay at home with dignity.

The role offers a flexible schedule, paid training, mileage and travel reimbursement, health insurance, PTO, and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent time-management skills.
• Reliable transportation to client visits.

• Training/knowledge in First Aid and emergency response.

Responsibilities

• Perform light housekeeping tasks for clients.
• Encourage and assist clients to meet exercise goals.
• Prompt clients to take medications on schedule.
• Assist with shopping and groceries, or shop on their behalf.
• Plan and prepare meals in collaboration with clients.
• Assist with mobility and transportation to doctor visits and activities.

A Visiting Angels Full Time Certified Nursing Aide - CNA wears many hats as they help our elderly and home-care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity.

While no two client visits look exactly alike, responsibilities may include:

• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks

A Full Time Certified Nursing Aide - CNA must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies. This includes adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.
