Visiting Angels Sumter, SC is seeking a Full Time Certified Nurse Aide to support clients in Darlington, Sumter, Columbia, Hartsville, Pamplico and nearby towns. You’ll help seniors stay at home with dignity while following care plans.

This role requires a high school diploma or equivalent, reliable transportation, excellent time management and communication. Training in First Aid and emergency response is preferred.

A Visiting Angels Full Time Certified Nurse Aide wears many hats as they help our elderly and home-care clients stay at home or recover at home with dignity.

Responsibilities

• Helping clients handle personal care and hygiene
• Managing light housekeeping
• Encouraging clients to meet their exercise and fitness goals
• Prompting clients to take their prescription medications at the right times
• Helping clients with shopping and putting away groceries (or shopping for them)
• Planning and preparing meals in collaboration with clients (based on client ability)
• Assisting clients with mobility and ambulation - this can include everything from getting around the house to visiting the doctor and taking walks

A Full Time Certified Nurse Aide must also be prepared to act quickly in the case of medical emergencies. This includes adequately reporting any health changes or unusual circumstances. Our caregivers possess the ideal blend of competency, compassion, and professional discernment.
