Job summary

Utah Food Bank seeks a full-time CDL-B Driver to support the collection and distribution of donated food and other items across Utah. You will load, transport, and deliver to agencies and partners, maintaining safety and professional standards on the road.

You will also handle driver paperwork, assist with food drives, and operate forklift when needed. A valid CDL–B, clean driving record, and DOT medical card are required, with forklift certification preferred or obtainable through in-house

Qualifications

• Must have valid Utah CDL–B Driver's License with a good driving record.
• DOT medical card required.
• Forklift certification or ability to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Pick up and deliver food donations, food boxes and agency orders in Utah Food Bank vehicles.
• Operate UFB vehicles in a safe and professional manner, obeying all traffic laws and representing UFB to the public.
• Maintain driver paperwork and complete DOT logs as required.
• Safely operate forklift and other warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, carts, etc).
• Assist with food drives on and off site and warehouse duties as needed.

Duties may include Grocery Rescue, Kids Café deliveries, senior food box delivery, agency deliveries, commercial and food drive pick-ups. Drivers must also maintain company vehicles.Duties:Pick up and deliver food donations, food boxes and agency orders in Utah Food Bank vehiclesOperate UFB vehicles in a safe and professional manner, obeying all traffic laws and appropriately representing UFB to the public on the roadInteract in appropriate professional manner with donors, agency personnel, volunteers, clients, general public and other staff to enhance UFB reputation and increase donationsResponsible for Utah Food Bank driver paperworkSafely operate forklift and other warehouse equipment (pallet jacks, carts, etc)Frequent hand unloading and loading of truck/trailer as neededResponsible for proper routine maintenance of UFB machinery, equipment and vehiclesRegular cleaning of vehicle and prompt reporting of maintenance/repair needsPerform daily pre-and post-trip safety inspections and turn in documents to Dispatch/Branch DirectorInspect and ensure product qualityWork with volunteersMaintain DOT Log Book requirementsHelp with food drives on and off site (requires some Saturday hours)Assist in warehouse as needed, build orders, load/unload trucks & trailers, clean up, etc.Other duties as assigned.Able to prioritize and complete work in a timely mannerMust have valid Utah CDL – B Drivers’ License, good driving record (MVR required) and DOT medical card.
