Job summary

Hurricane Harbor Arlington is seeking a general carpenter to support park facilities and attractions with construction, repair, and remodeling tasks across outdoor settings.

The role requires ability to climb ride structures, lift at least 50 lbs, stand in extreme heat or cold, and work with a crew. Expect a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays, with strong guest‑facing service expectations.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a High School diploma or equivalent.
• Prior experience in commercial or industrial carpentry preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft applications including Outlook, Excel, and Word for planning, communications, troubleshooting, and tracking.
• Ability to work well with others.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods outdoors in extreme heat/cold and sun.
• Able to carry tools and lift at least 50 lbs and be comfortable working at heights up to 150 ft.
• Must be able to work a rotating schedule including nights, weekends, holidays, and extended shifts as needed.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.

Responsibilities

• General Carpentry: This requires construction, demolition, repair, and remodeling park facilities and attractions. This requires the use of typical carpentry tools, lifting and carrying lumber, loading trucks, and job site cleanup
• Work with other crew members in the field to complete tasks
• Ride Inspection: This requires climbing ride structures, walking on steep catwalks, and working at heights up to 150 feet above the ground. Safety equipment is provided
• People Skills: This requires positive interaction with employees and guests, promoting a "Service" atmosphere
• Cleanliness: This requires keeping the work location and the park clean and sanitary for guests and staff. Cleaning duties may require standing, stooping, and bending to pick up trash and debris
• Other tasks and duties as assigned
