Job summary

Discovery Villages at Tampa Palms in Tampa, FL, is seeking a Care Giver/Medication Technician to enrich residents' lives through hands-on care, medication administration, and supportive companionship in a home-like setting.

You will follow safety standards, collaborate with healthcare staff, and help residents with daily activities while ensuring dignity and comfort; full-time, 2p-10p, weekends on rotation; competitive wages and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Certified Nursing Assistant certification preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• CPR and First Aid certifications preferred.
• Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
• Strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and demonstrate good judgment.

As Care Giver/Medication Technician , you’ll play an essential role in enriching the lives of seniors, creating meaningful connections, and making a difference every single day.

Your Role:

As the Care Giver/Medication Technician , your role includes providing hands‑on care, administering medications, and offering physical and emotional support to residents while maintaining a safe and comfortable home‑like environment.

Position Highlights:

• Status: FULL TIME
• Schedule: 2p-10p INCLUDING every other WEEKENDS
• Location: 17470 brookside trace court, Tampa FL 33647.
• Rate of Pay: $19

What You’ll Do:

• Provide compassionate care and supervision for assigned residents, assisting with activities of daily living (bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, ambulation, transferring, eating) while promoting dignity, independence, and safety.
• Administer and observe medications and treatments in accordance with the Six Rights of Medication Pass, documenting accurately and reporting concerns promptly, including refusal of medications or missed doses
• Monitor and record resident conditions, including changes in behavior, appetite, skin, and participation in activities.
• Engage residents in enrichment programs and life skills activities to support overall well‑being.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and sanitary environment in resident rooms, community areas, and medication/treatment spaces.
• Respond promptly to resident call bells and community security systems.
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, supervisors, and healthcare staff regarding care needs and changes in condition.
• Ensure compliance with all safety standards, infection control protocols, and confidentiality policies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Certified Nurse's Aide certification preferred
