Qualifications

• Associates degree in criminal justice or related field, or a bachelor’s degree from an accredited university.
• Must obtain certification as a Law Enforcement Officer through the MA POST- C.
• Must obtain Special State Police Officer certification as required by MA law.
• Graduated from MA full-time police academy or equivalent, or meet specific MPTC criteria.
• Valid MA driver's license and MA License to Carry a Firearm.
• Ability to pass Massachusetts HRD medical exam and physical ability test.

• Ability to establish effective working relationships with students, faculty, staff, and public.
• Proficiency with computers and report writing; maintain professional appearance and communication.

Responsibilities

• Maintain campus security and patrol obligations; assist those in need.
• Enforce policy, monitor access, and respond to emergencies on campus.
• Investigate incidents, preserve evidence, and prepare reports for court proceedings.
• Coordinate with university personnel and other agencies as needed.
• Provide first aid when qualified and ensure safe campus environment.
