Job summary

Alief Independent School District Police Dept./Child Safety in Houston, Texas seeks a 2026-2027 Campus Police Officer (235 days) to patrol district properties and protect students, staff, and visitors. You will enforce laws and respond to emergencies, working independently as needed.

Requirements include a High School diploma or GED, Texas Peace Officer License (TCOLE), and a valid Texas driver’s license, with a background in law enforcement.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; Texas Peace Officer License (TCOLE) and valid Texas driver’s license.
• Experience in law enforcement or related work preferred.
• Ability to pass physical, psychiatric, and drug tests.
• Ability to work with youth and adults.

Responsibilities

• Protect Alief ISD students, personnel, and property.
• Patrol assigned campus(es) walking or driving within district jurisdiction.
• Respond to crisis situations, accidents, and reports of crime.
• Investigate offenses within district jurisdiction and collect evidence.
• Arrest perpetrators and file charges; testify in court as needed.
• Coordinate with other agencies and monitor security systems.
