Job description

Salary: $15.75-$20.00

Summary

Provides fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient service to all Price Chopper customers. Ensures adherence to all production/display guidelines regarding bakery products to promote optimal sales opportunities. Operates within sanitation guidelines and procedures set by the company and state.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

1. Consistently work to provide fast, friendly, helpful, and efficient customer service at all times.
2. Smile, make eye contact, and thank customers upon fulfilling their requests.
3. Maintain a neat, clean, and organized work station according to 5S standards.
4. Ensure customer satisfaction through product availability, quality, outstanding service, and sanitary conditions.
5. Maintain an adequate presentation with a proper variety of cakes to meet customer needs.
6. Work with the Bakery Manager to maintain “Deco Pac” inventories at physical levels determined annually by the corporate office.
7. Maintain standards such as Butter crème and seasonal colors daily.
8. Assist the bakery manager in maintaining production and shrink guidelines.
9. Operate bakery equipment including ovens, mixers, and utensils.
10. May be asked to be in charge of the baker in the absence of the manager and first clerk.
11. Maintain a high level of customer courtesy and service.
12. Handle all customer special orders, such as cake orders.
13. Adhere to all company policies and procedures.
14. Ensure all associates follow sanitation regulations set by corporate and state laws.
15. Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

Minimum Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• 6-12 months of related experience.
• Basic literacy and computer skills.
• Satisfactory performance reviews.
• Strong communication skills.
