Job summary

Salcedo Medical Center is seeking a full-time bilingual medical assistant. Knowledge of EMR systems is preferred. Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Take vital signs for patients.
• Stock and organize exam rooms.
• Assist physicians and nurse practitioners in procedures.
• Record patient medical history.
• Maintain clinic flow and patient routing to exam areas.
• Administer vaccines and injections as needed.
• Schedule follow-up appointments.
• Communicate with patients and staff in person and by phone.
• Handle prior authorization requests and coordinate referrals.

Job description

We are looking to hire a full time bilingual medical assistant with EMR knowledge preferred which job responsibilities include; is taking vital signs, stocking exam rooms, assist physician and nurse practitioner in procedures, record patient medical history, maintain clinic and patient flow to and from exam areas, administer vaccines and other injections, schedule follow-up appointments, communicating with patients and staff in person and over the phone, prior authorization requests, coordinate referrals to specialist as needed, washing and sterilizing instruments, EKG.
