Aurora Charter Oak Hospital is seeking Behavioral Health Technician / Behavioral Health Specialist for full-time hours across AM, PM, and NOC shifts. Weekend availability is mandatory.

The role involves direct patient care, assisting in treatment plans, and ensuring patient safety within a respectful, patient-centered environment. Located in Covina, California, the hospital has served patients for decades and emphasizes compassionate care.

Qualifications

• High school degree, GED or equivalent required.
• Registered behavioral technician (RBT) experience is a PLUS.
• Healthcare experience required.
• Hospital experience highly preferred - Medical Assistant, Caregiver, Nursing Assistant.
• Familiarity with medical and psychological terminology.
• Basic knowledge of human behavior or principles of psychology.
• Ability to maintain confidential information.
• Ability to maintain professional boundaries and willingness to seek supervision in this regard.
• Current BLS for healthcare provider card upon hire.
• Therapeutic Options™ (TOT) to be obtained prior to providing direct patient care without a preceptor.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care to patients with emotional or psychiatric disorders.
• Accompany and transport patients, participate in patient treatment plans.
• Ensure safety and well-being of patients.
• Other duties as assigned.
