Job summary

Summit BHC's Twin Lakes Recovery Center in Monroe, GA seeks a Registered Nurse to deliver nursing care, supervise LPNs and CNAs, and develop individualized care plans for clients in a psychiatric setting.

You will assess and reassess client status, administer medications, document thoroughly, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective treatment. The position is onsite and requires CPR/de-escalation training.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an approved/accredited school of nursing.
• One or more years’ nursing experience within clinical area of service provided by facility preferred.
• Experience in behavioral health/psychiatric/addiction recovery environment preferred.
• Knowledge of and experience with psychotropic medications and medication administration procedures.
• Ability to apply nursing standards and practice within an acute psychiatric setting.

Responsibilities

• Provides and coordinates care by assessing physical and behavioral health needs of clients and develops and implements nursing care plans.
• Accurately administers medications with at least two client identifiers.
• Notifies providers of significant changes in status and documents appropriately.
• Completes admission and discharge processes efficiently and accurately.
• Maintains thorough, accurate documentation and communicates hand-off reports to oncoming staff.
