Job summary

Scheels All Sports, Inc. in Great Falls is seeking a full-time Sales Associate to deliver an outstanding customer experience and drive sales across all product categories.

You will maintain product knowledge, assist customers, manage inventory, and ensure accurate displays and pricing while working a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by engaging with customers and guiding them through the sale.
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas and train other associates on products.
  • Meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering high-quality customer experiences.
  • Manage inventory by running and analyzing Internal Flash Reports.
  • Keep backstock organized and ensure merchandise is displayed and replenished on the sales floor.
  • Ensure product displays with correct pricing tags and signage.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Communicate professionally with store teams, Scheels Campus, and vendors.

Compensation/Scheduling:

Compensation $45,000-$55,000 annually DOE. Listed compensation is based on a combination of a base hourly wage and estimated commission potential. Must be flexible to work varied hours, evenings, weekends (to include two weekends per month) and holidays. Average 42 hours per week.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver exceptional customer service by seeking out and engaging with customers, going through the steps of the sale to determine their needs, recommending appropriate products, and promoting the Scheels Visa Credit Card
  • Maintain expert-level knowledge in all selling areas, as well as lead product knowledge training for other associates
  • Consistently meet or exceed personal sales goals while delivering a high-quality customer experience
  • Manage inventory by running and analyzing Internal Flash Reports
  • Effectively maintain an organized backstock while ensuring merchandise is properly displayed and replenished on the sales floor
  • Ensures their product is accurately displayed to customers through price tagging, sales stickers, and signage
  • Maintain a professional appearance, positive attitude, and team-oriented atmosphere
  • Communicate professionally with other associates within the store, the Scheels Campus, and Vendors/Sales Representatives
  • Ensures their work area is clean, organized, and meets safety standards
  • Ability to perform basic math; perform operations using units of currency, measurements, and understand percentages
  • Ability to work assigned schedule; may include varied hours, evenings, weekends, and holidays. Including product knowledge meetings

Education & Experience:

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED), 1-3 months of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Physical Requirements/Lifting Requirements:

Must be able to sit, stand, bend at the waist, climb, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push/pull, lift, talk, and hear with or without reasonable accommodation.

Heavy work – Exerting up to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects
