Job summary

Compass Group is hiring for a full-time Barista position located at Dexcom in San Diego. The role runs Monday through Friday, 6:30 am to 3:00 pm, with on-site duties and responsibilities in a fast-paced coffee service environment.

The successful candidate will make and serve coffee and related food items, follow HACCP guidelines, and interact with customers to provide a positive service experience. Online applications only.

Qualifications

• Cashier and barista experience required.

Responsibilities

• Prepares espresso orders for customers using standard measures and recipes.
• Enters orders into POS and handles cash/credit payments.
• Replenishes condiments, beverages and supplies and keeps the service area clean.
• Follows HACCP guidelines for food safety and presentation.
• Maintains sanitation of equipment, supplies and utensils.
• Ensures correct food prep per approved recipes and production standards.
• Greets customers and communicates to ensure satisfaction and relays concerns to supervisors.
• Serves customers quickly to prevent delays in lines.
• Explains daily menu items accurately to customers.
• Promotes selling techniques to help customers make decisions.
