Job summary

Equity Bank in Guymon, OK is hiring a Bank Teller to join our Retail Banking team. You will handle teller transactions, build client relationships, and deliver friendly, accurate service to local customers.

This full-time, on-site role requires a high school diploma, strong communication, confidentiality, and teamwork. Training may occur in Wichita, KS. Join a community-focused bank offering competitive benefits and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Computer proficiency in Windows-based systems.

• Capable of working with a team to determine solutions.
• Ability to travel to Wichita, KS during first week of employment for required week-long training.

Responsibilities

• Build Client Relationships by conducting professional conversations to establish trust and credibility.
• Discover key life events to tailor bank products and services to clients’ needs.
• Recommend and provide accounts, loans, and services that match clients’ financial needs.
• Promote bank products and services within and outside the bank.
• Proactively refer to bank partners to generate additional revenue for the bank.
• Demonstrate operational soundness to minimize risk and maintain quality production.
• Adhere to operating procedures and protocols.
• Create a welcoming, engaging environment for clients to experience.
• Resolve client issues proactively when directed by the Bank Manager.
• Respond to routine client inquiries and requests.
• Perform teller duties as needed and process client transactions.
• Approve transactions within assigned authority limits.
• Assist with bank opening and closing as directed.
• Follow laws and regulations including BSA/AML and ethics policies.
• Complete periodic compliance training.

Key Responsibilities

Build Client Relationships

• Approve transactions for other employees within your assigned authority limit


• Assist with bank opening and/or closing as directed

Demonstrate Compliance with Applicable Laws and Regulations

• Understand and follow applicable laws and regulations for your job responsibilities, including but not limited to Equity Bank Business Ethics and Conduct policy, Bank Secrecy Act, Anti-Money Laundering, Information Security, Suspicious Activity Reporting requirements, policies, and procedures


• Follow deposit account opening procedures and internal suspicious activity referral requirements and processes, as appropriate for this position


• Actively work with clients to understand each client’s normal account activity, as appropriate for this position


• Complete periodic compliance training
