Job summary

Mavis Tires & Brakes at Discount Prices is seeking full-time Automotive Mechanics to join Team Mavis at our Lindenhurst, NY service center. You will inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of undercar repairs, including brakes, struts, and shocks, and help with state inspections and tire service.

Candidates must have at least 2 years of experience, own a substantial toolbox, and be legally eligible to work in the United States.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years of experience in automotive repair and maintenance or an equivalent combination of education and training.
• Possess an extensive toolbox of personal tools used in undercar repairs.
• Must be at least 18 years old and legally eligible to work in the United States.
• State inspection license(s) and ASE Certifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and perform a wide range of undercar repairs.
• Repair brakes, struts, and shocks as part of routine maintenance.
• Perform oil changes and filter replacements.
• Check fluids and replace worn parts as needed.
• Dismount, mount, rotate, and balance tires.
• Complete state-mandated inspections and ensure quality workmanship.
