Job summary

D&S Automotive in Elyria is seeking a Disassembly/Reassembly Technician to join our collision repair team. You will disassemble vehicles, inspect components, and then reassemble them as part of the repair process, collaborating with the Repair Planner to estimate work and finalize the vehicle for delivery.

The ideal candidate has mechanical aptitude, at least 1 year in an automotive shop, a valid driver’s license, and a willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1+ year of Automotive shop experience.
• Valid driver's license and ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Pre-scanning vehicle.
• Remove upholstery, accessories, electrical/hydraulic window operating equipment, body panels, trim, and any other parts needed.
• Micro bagging of all hardware and small parts.
• Building and organization of parts cart according to company standards.
• Taking photos of wiring, component assembly, and trim/emblem locations.
• Reassemble vehicles after repairs.
• Light body repairs as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor(s).
