Baystate Health is seeking an audiologist to provide evaluative, rehabilitative, preventive and referral services across inpatient, outpatient, homecare and contract settings. You will instruct patients and families, monitor progress, and maintain clinical records while functioning independently.
Responsibilities include evaluating, treating, counseling, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals, with opportunities to supervise trainees and volunteers depending on experience.
Summary: Provides comprehensive evaluative, rehabilitative, preventative and referral services for patients concerned about hearing loss on an inpatient, outpatient, homecare and contract basis. Instructs patients, families and other support personnel in rehabilitative/habilitative measures, monitors patients' progress and maintains clinical records. At this level, incumbent is expected to function independently. This description covers the essential functions of the position. Typically, a new hire can expect a starting salary somewhere in the lower part of the range. Actual salaries may vary by position and will be determined based on the candidate's relevant experience.
