Job summary

Apple Playschools is an early childhood education center in Ann Arbor offering outdoor immersion and Spanish immersion programs. As an Apprentice Teacher, you will provide high-quality, mission-aligned education in an assigned classroom while collaborating with the Lead/Mentor Teacher.

We support growth with on-the-job training and a flexible schedule. You’ll design activities, ensure child safety, collaborate with families, and participate in peer learning through feedback and modeling.

Qualifications

• Be 18 years or older.
• Eligible to work in the United States.
• Be able to pass all required background checks and criminal history review.
• Meet LARA licensing education requirements appropriate to the assigned role.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality early childhood education in an assigned classroom.
• Collaborate with the Lead/Mentor Teacher of the class.
• Design learning activities and create unforgettable experiences.
• Ensure the safety of participants and report concerns as per licensing guidelines.

Your Role

As an apprentice teacher, you will provide high-quality, mission-aligned early childhood education for children in an assigned classroom while collaborating with the Lead/Mentor Teacher of that class.

What You’ll Need – The Must-Haves

• Be age 18or older

• Be able to be "on your feet" for most of the day


• Hold, carry, or lift up to 25 pounds


• Work outside in all weather conditions
