Job summary

Kimberton Whole Foods in Wyomissing is seeking a career-minded, full-time Apothecary Team Member to join our fast-paced store environment. You will be responsible for customer service, stocking supplements and related products, and maintaining accurate signage under the guidance of the Apothecary Department Head.

The role requires 18+ years of age, 40 hours per week, and shifts across opening, midday, and closing times, including Sundays.

Qualifications

• Background knowledge of natural wellness products or willingness to learn about natural health.
• Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
• Willingness to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends.

• Able to stand for 8 hours and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Receiving and stocking supplements, body care, gifts, cards, and magazines.
• Stocks and handles products following time and temperature guidelines.
• Rotating back stock on a first-in, first-out basis.
• Maintain accurate department signage with the Apothecary Department Head.
• Understand Kimberton Whole Foods inventory management practices.
• Act as a community resource by assisting customers with wellbeing products in compliance with DSHEA.

Kimberton Whole Foods in Wyomissing is hiring a career-minded, full-time Apothecary Team Member!

Availability:

Full-time, 40 hours per week. 8-hour shifts, 5 days per week.

Schedule:

Availability to work a Sunday - Thrusday work week, including opening, midday, and closing shifts. Shifts are within a 7:00am-8:30pm time frame. A Sunday shift is required each week.

Age Requirement:

Must be 18 years or older.

Pay Range:

$16.00 - $18.00 an hour depending on experience

The Apothecary Team Member’s Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to all.
• Receiving and stocking all supplements, body care, gifts, cards, and magazines.
• Stocks and handles product following guidelines for time and temperature demands.
• Rotating back stock on a first-in first-out basis.
• Working in collaboration with the Apothecary Department Head to maintain accurate and up-to-date product signage throughout the entire department.
• Understands KWF inventory management practices.
• Acts as community resource by providing assistance with products for wellbeing in compliance with DSHEA law.

Requirements

Physical Capabilities

• Full sense range (vision, hearing and sense of smell) – the ability to read product labels, distinguish color & smell for quality control as well as the ability to communicate with the customers and co-workers.
• Lifting, gripping and carrying objects – up to 50-75 pounds frequently, including boxes, cans, tools and other products.
• Stooping, squatting, & kneeling – stoop and maneuver to pick up boxes from shelving and carts.
• Walking – short distances to bring items from miscellaneous areas.
• Standing- prolonged standing.
• Work environment – movement based with the majority of time being in motion (walking & standing) rather that sedentary (sitting).
• Climate – ability to work in cold environments (cooler, Freezer, back stock area) and handle cold products for extended periods of time on a regular basis.
