Job summary

LIFEwest Ambulance is hiring a Paramedic for full-time roles in our California service area. You will respond to emergent and non-emergent calls, deliver advanced life support, and transport patients to facilities while maintaining high clinical standards and customer service.

Strong judgment and calmness under pressure are essential. Eligible candidates hold a California Paramedic License, required accreditations, and a valid ACLS/PALS with CPR/BLS.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Valid California State Paramedic License.
• Paramedic Accreditation for Sonoma/Marin Counties within 30 days of hire.
• Paramedic Advanced Scope Training within 30 days of hire.
• Current CPR/BLS Provider certification (AHA).
• ACLS certification (AHA).
• PALS certification (AHA).
• ITLS or PHTLS certification (optional).
• Ambulance Driver Certificate.
• Medical Examiner’s Certificate (DL51).
• H-6 DMV driving record within 5 years meeting policy.
• Ability to maintain all required certifications and licenses.

Responsibilities

• Provide ALS patient care in accordance with scope of practice and medical protocols.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and provide treatment and interventions.
• Monitor patient condition and respond to changes.
• Safely transport patients to medical facilities.
• Maintain readiness of equipment, medications, and supplies.
• Complete accurate patient care documentation per policy.
• Operate ambulances and respond to dispatcher instructions.
• Remain professional in interactions with patients and staff.
